Taking its name from the City’s own dynamic motto, Culture Forward is an initiative of the University of Birmingham as part of a renewed commitment to its civic mission, and to capitalise on the success of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

It is a forum that draws together the University’s experts, students and researchers with organisations across the arts, cultural, creative, heritage, and community and local government sectors that are based – or working – in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Together, forum members share new partnership opportunities, best practice, research insights and get support on policy development, evaluation, writing proposals and talent development too.
